NEWPORT – Evergreen Art Association held their monthly meeting Aug. 12 and Rebecca Chaney from Priest River Lamanna High School was there to receive a $500 check as a donation from the club to be used for student art supplies. Chaney told the group about her personal and professional background and showed samples of students’ art work. An individual visual arts scholarship sponsored yearly by Evergreen Art Association was not awarded this year because there were no applicants so it was decided by the club members to make this donation.
