The weather was changing, the sky was getting dark, the winds picked up; I felt the rapid beating of my heart.
It was not too long before the power had gone out, It would not be restored quickly, of that I had no doubt.
So, I searched for a flashlight, that I finally found, and I flicked the switch then put the flashlight back down.
It had no power, it had not been charged, the illumination problem had not been resolved.
I searched next for some candles, we must have at least one, and yes, I did find it, but matches I had none.
I remembered the gas stove, which with the candle I did light, then I sat down and reflected for most of the night.
I remembered reading a single candle could be seen for over a mile, I couldn’t think how I could use that information, but it made me smile.
I wondered by candles how many books people did write, including the Bible which tells us Jesus is, “The Life and the Light”.
