Joining the party at the Newport All Class Reunion

NEWPORT – The Newport Alumni Association All Class Reunion was held Saturday, Oct. 5, with a marvelous turnout, according to event organizer Sue Mauro.

The high school cheerleaders assisted with handing out goodie bags, selling composite books, setting up and tearing down tables, registering attendees and leading the group with singing the school fight song.

Hall of Fame inductee, Craig Crotteau, gave a speech while sharing the names of successful schoolmates and well-loved teachers during his high school years.

Dolly Hunt shared the purpose and history of the Soroptimist Club and how Hall of Fame inductee Micki Weisbarth’s work efforts, drive and personality made her a role model of this local women’s organization. Multiple attendees walked away with door prizes donated by Audrey’s Restaurant, Creations by the River, Shawn and Connie Murphy and the Alumni Association.
