YOUR OPINION

Ing-Moody has experience governing

To the editor, By now you have received your ballot in the mail – assuming you are a registered voter (and if not, WHY NOT?!).

I want to again encourage your vote for Soo Ing-Moody for Position 2 in the 7th District. Soo has been mayor of a small town, seeing them through some difficult times. She and her husband live and work in the northeast corner of the state, so understand how we can feel very much ignored by the more populous side of Washington. She was a positive member of the Association of Washington Cities, serving as its President and on the Board of Directors. It is in this role that she has the best experience to represent all of us: she knows Olympia, how it works and how best to get it to work for us.

This is not about a particular party – it is about electing someone who will best represent all of us. Because of this, I endorse Soo Ing-Moody as our legislative representative.

Moody: I’m running to represent you

To the editor, I’m Troy Moody. I’ve thrown my hat in the race for PUD commissioner No. 1. Running for a nonpartisan position has given me a freedom that I didn’t expect.

As we get deeper into this election season it seems the shrill rhetoric gets louder from both the left and right. I think the parties and the press exacerbate this to the point that we just don’t want to even hear an opinion different from our own.

Sometimes it feels like we need to take a deep breath and sit down and “re-center.” By that I mean we need to rediscover our “why,” and then ask ourselves, what’s the best path to achieve our goals.

Let’s start with, “Why have most of us chosen Pend Oreille County.” I’ll make this short: Peaceful, country, clean, great people, fishing (I probably should have mentioned that first). There’s more but I’ll leave it there.

For myself, “why pursue the PUD commissioner spot? 1. I know we have a gem with our PUD, and it needs to be guarded and preserved for our kids and grandkids. 2.We need to be smart with our budget. There’s a balance between how much cash vs. debt. Too much of one or the other will cost our children millions later. 3. We must retain quality employees. That’s done through pay, benefits, and workplace. 4. Just as important is remembering that you, the ratepayers, are our bosses!

I am your advocate. As your new commissioner, you will not see me being fooled by corporate pressures.

I am your representative. The residents are my first priority.

I will stay accessible to you. It’s all about you.

I will respect the professionals in the PUD. We have amazing people.

This is my request to work for you. I humbly ask for your vote, -Troy Moody Newport

Incumbents have lost our trust

To the editor, We need new leaders that voters can trust to put the citizens of Pend Oreille first. That’s why I’m supporting Steve Minnich and Kevin Young for County Commissioner and Troy Moody for PUD Commissioner. They are trustworthy, intelligent, and capable leaders we can count on.

I don’t know anyone in Pend Oreille County who feels John Gentle, Brian Smiley, or Joe Onley are working for them. They have defunded our infrastructure and public services and increased our property tax values to astronomic rates while refusing to spend millions of dollars in state funds on public needs. They have lost our trust.

Kevin’s extensive experience in building and maintaining roads that he will bring to the office is probably worth half a million dollars in savings to taxpayers and, for the first time in recent memory, assure we have the infrastructure we need to support a high-quality of life and future economic prosperity.

Steve showed us in candidate forums that he is not afraid to challenge John Gentle and Brian Smiley’s recurring appearances of conflicts of interest, which call into question whether our current county leaders are using taxpayer funds to serve citizens or themselves.

Troy brings decades of business experience, common sense, and an unquestionable commitment to protecting our Pend Oreille Public Utility District and to protect us, the PUD’s customers and owners. You don’t have to attend very many PUD meetings to see that Joe Onley is only concerned with the welfare of Beijing-based corporations and their foreign corporation joint-venture partners who are threatening (sometimes literally) our PUD. Troy is the commissioner we need to protect our low power rates and policies that promote the economic prosperity of Washington businesses in our county.

Vote ‘no’ on I-2109

To the editor, I have spent nearly my entire life in Pend Oreille County, where my children attend school and my family is employed. Like many others, we depend on early learning, childcare, and public education for our children. However, the funding for Washington’s education budget is in jeopardy if I-2109 is repealed. I didn’t know what I-2109 was, or where the tax money went until I became a Washington State Parent Ambassador. I-2109 is a limited capital gains tax in Washington that helps finance the education budget, specifically for the construction of public schools and early learning and childcare facilities statewide. In rural areas like Pend Oreille, there is a pressing need for more early learning and childcare options for working and middle-class families just like mine. If we do not vote NO on I-2109, we risk losing billions of dollars over the next five years. The Capital Gains Tax applies only to 7% of stock profits exceeding $250,000, affecting just 0.2% of Washington’s wealthiest, who are trying to repeal the tax. Retirement accounts like IRAs, small family businesses, farms, and all real estate are exempt from this tax. In fact, 99.8% of Washington households have not paid this capital gains tax, yet it generated $889 million for education in 2022. Therefore, I urge you to vote NO on I-2109 on November 5th with me, to ensure continued investment in the future of our children and families.

We need to change county commissioners

To the editor, As I have been around the community many people said we need a change with County Commissioners. Kevin Young and Steve Minnich are who you need to vote for. Lowering taxes by cutting regulations will help to fix our need for affordable housing.

Getting control over money that is being wasted can help getting our roads repaired especially with my knowledge of road building and construction. I will always think of you first when we make decisions effect our population. I want to cut taxes by getting rid of the senseless regulations that put stumbling blocks in front of those that need stepping stones to accomplish goals. I want everyone to tell me what we have done to make your lives better after being elected. Something that no one has been able to say about your current Commissioners. I encourage everyone to vote this election and get our numbers up. We will always have an open door policy where you can be respected.

I would appreciate your vote.

Presidential race

To the editor, I have lived through a lot of them with mixed emotions sometimes happy, sometimes sad at the ending. This one is just plain scary.

Coming up on this years election reminds me of the times this nation has missed opportunities to alter course in a righteous direction we don’t even realize at the time.

I voted for Ross Perot thinking if the government were run like a business, there would be no debt. Then we elect a so called businessman DT and find out not so! He dumped us into debt by an additional $8.4 trillion in his four years without accomplishing anything other than tax breaks for the wealthy.

Dammit, why can’t we mark our ballot with a smile on our face! Vote your heart and not some conspiracy whatever you have heard about Hunter Biden he is not in this election! The same goes for Democrats causing all the hurricanes, there aren’t enough Democrats to get this done. We all know storms are really caused by Zeus and Thor!

Remember back when politics and politicians were respectful of each other and had a sense of humor. In 1968 during Pat Paulsen’s run he suggested Nixon had been so far ahead of other candidates so long he should consider turning around and running the other way so people could see another side of him. Pat said that election polls were “14% undecided, 36% disgusted”. That hasn’t changed!

Pat ran on his slogan “I’ve upped my standards … Now up yours.”

“I’VE UPPED MY STANDARDS ... ...NOW UP YOURS”.

Steps to destroy a country

To the editor, Bill Ackman posted on X why he switched to support Trump: his commitment to the nation’s welfare. He listed 33 Democrat policies he believes will ultimately undermine our stability, prosperity, and security. Significantly, he contends these policies echo actions that would be pursued by adversaries wishing to see America weakened. Indeed.

“To be clear, my decision to vote for Trump is not an endorsement of everything he has done or will do because he is an imperfect man … I believe that Trump is by far the superior candidate despite his flaws and mistakes he has made in the past.” I wholeheartedly agree! Here are ten Democrat policies that concern me: Open borders to millions of immigrants not screened for their risk to the country and dumping them into communities, overwhelming existing infrastructure to support them at the expense of the historic residents.

Introduce thousands of unnecessary regulations interfering with our businesses’ ability to compete.

Restrain energy production, essential to industry.

Modify the bail system so violent criminals are released without bail.

Promote lawlessness by raising the threshold for classifying shoplifting a felony to $950 of stolen merchandise.

Promote incompetency by replacing merit with awarding jobs on the basis of race, sexual identity and gender.

Educate our elementary children that “gender is fluid.”

Shut down free speech in media and social media platforms.

Litigate to prevent Trump and RFK Jr from getting on the ballot.

Lie to us about the president’s cognitive health while accusing anyone who provided video evidence of his decline of being “right wing conspirators.”

Select the Democrat nominee for president in a backroom process by undisclosed party leaders denying Americans the opportunity to choose between better qualified candidates.

Sue states for implementing measures that make elections more secure.

Can our country withstand four more years of weakening?

Not voting for pastor, voting for president

To the editor, I am so confused by people who think that electing a president is a matter of my religion or the candidate’s religion. I am voting for president, not pastor.

Mr. Trump’s salvation is not my affair, nor is Ms. Harris’. What is my concern is which of them has the best plan, and is the most capable, in my opinion, of restoring America’s world standing, security and economy.

Currently we have heard nothing substantial from VP Harris as to her plans to secure the border and revitalize our economy. We get words, words and lots more words but nothing of substance. Former President Trump, however, has a record of a secure border and an economy that was flourishing until Covid hit, not to mention that America had the respect of world leaders they may not have liked him, but they respected him. To that point, there were no new wars under his administration, something the current administration cannot say, and as I write this, North and South Korea have been exchanging fire at their border, putting the security of the world even more at risk. Mr. Trump also has said just how he would accomplish these things, not just blathered on about nothing.

We had a president who was a nice guy and a Christian, his name was Jimmy Carter. His tenure was a disaster for the country. So you see, there is more to my position, and many others like me, who are more concerned with ability, rather than if the candidate is a “nice” person.

My concern is not whether Mr. Trump, or Ms. Harris, is a Christian (is she?), or has past behavior that reflects Christianity (does she?), but which of them, in my opinion, can restore our great country and deal effectively with world leaders - something which greatly concerns me about Ms. Harris.

Donald Trump has a visible breakdown

To the editor, Recently at a presidential town hall, Joe Biden swayed and sang for thirty-nine minutes, lip-synced “Ave Maria,” three times, and danced to the eighty’s anthem for young gay men, YMCA. His health records, seven years ago said, “high cholesterol and obese.” Both life threatening. He won’t release current records. Visibly declining and deranged he shouldn’t be running for president. Wait a minute! Joe Biden? Darn it, I meant Donald Trump.

Speaking of deranged, DT said he will send the National Guard, or Military after Americans who disagree with him, their First Amendment right, because they’re, “enemies within,” saying he’ll, “be a dictator for one day” and “one rough, nasty…violent day,” will end crime. Trump’s former COS, General Milley says Trump is “fascist to the core,” the opinion of hundreds of former Republican Trump supporters who have seen the light. Trump refused to a Sixty Minute interview and protested the Presiden- tial Debate because of fact checking. He is afraid of being called out for lying because he is a pathological liar who cannot tell the truth. My dad taught me a person is only as good as their word. Trump flunks the honesty litmus.

Trumps plans two hundred percent tariffs on imports. That one-dollar item, car part, wine, tool, etc. will cost three. It’s illegal for the US to collect tariffs from the exporter. Tariffs are collected at checkout.

DT sent covid tests to Russia, paid for with your American tax dollars while Americans couldn’t get them and were dying. How can anyone vote for this maniac?

Thoughts about the presidential election

To the editor, To many readers my words won’t matter a bit.

For some people have had their minds made up long ago to vote for the candidate with either a D or R next to their name. For those that don’t, consider the old fashion way of deciding who to cast your vote for. What positions have they taken in the past? What results did they achieve? When asked what they have done or what they will do, can they give you a straight answer, or do they merely bash their opponent?

Many supporters of a certain candidate have presented letters to this paper, not touting her accomplishments, but by specifically defaming her opponent. Those with common sense only have to ask what was the cost of groceries 4 years ago?

What was the cost of fuel?

How many illegal border crossings were there?

What was the cost for housing? How did crime and homelessness get so out of hand?

What were the interest rates?

One candidate wants to raise taxes on citizens so the government can spend the money as it sees fit. The other wants to cut taxes so the people can spend their earnings as they see fit. See through the mistaken idea to tax corporations more. They will only pass that on to the consumer with higher prices. To my friends with the D by their name.

America gave your team 4 years to try to make a difference. Well, they surely did! Time to turn the page...

Trump has no idea what he’s talking about

To the editor, I have given so much thought into everything our country spent through the last few years. Donald Trump trying to overthrow the government because he didn’t like the fact he lost the last election. He lost!

The problem he has now is that he keeps talking about what he wants to do and everybody’s prepared. He got away with it one time almost because people weren’t aware, and not prepared for what was going to happen. His “day of love,” as he called it, got people killed and it’s absolutely disgusting. He bragged about overturning Roe versus Wade. He now calls himself the father of IVF. He has no idea what he’s talking about 98% of the time. The man is an old fool! He is a danger to everyone. He certainly not fit to lead a country, he can’t even control himself in public. Man that goes down into public and toots so everyone can hear it should certainly not be our president and that’s one of his better qualities.

We have Kamala Harris to defend us. To give women back our rights. We are not the enemies within, as Trump calls all the people that don’t like him and don’t vote for him. If you haven’t voted yet pull your heads out of the sand and vote for Kamala Harris for the president of the United States of America.

We need to get out of ‘news silos’

To the editor, In the Oct. 9 Miner letters to the editor Glen Pierce wrote a comparison of the economy now versus four years ago. His point was that we are now worse off under Biden than we had been under Trump.

Some of Mr. Pierce’s figures are in the ballpark (sort of) but others are wildly off the mark. The most problematic is probably the inflation rate. Mr. Pierce states, “Back then inflation was about 2% and today, conservatively at 9% plus.”

I also wrote a letter to the editor in the same Miner edition, and I wrote “The inflation rate is now at 2.5% (target is 2%), the unemployment rate at 4.1% and the FED has started lowering interest rates.”

2.5% versus 9% plus is a huge difference. I think this misstatement of fact – it is not opinion – demonstrates the importance of double- checking your news sources. We are all aware of Trump’s lies so if Mr.

Pierce listened to Trump to come up with 9% that should immediately raise a red flag. But Trump’s propaganda surrogates are just as bad. Recall that Fox News paid $787M to settle a suit with Dominion Voting Systems for promoting lies about the 2020 election.

I read both conservative and liberal media; I avoid the extremes. Most of my economic news for the last 50 years has come from The Wall Street Journal. I strongly suggest we all get out of our news silos, pick reputable news sources and get accurate information so we can intelligently choose our leaders. The current inflation rate is 2.4%. Check it out.

Faith and politics

To the editor, “Why do so many Christians support Trump”?

(Miner, 10/16). This letter is not directed at Ms. Stafford directly but the readership in general. I am a Christian (that term can be thrown around loosely these days) however I do follow Christ.

I have flaws.

I’m not voting for a Pastor, I’m voting for a President. The media (who used to love Trump) has painted him in the worst possible way since 2015.

They don’t tell you of all the generosity he has done throughout his life.

Trump has flaws like the rest of us. He sends mean tweets and has gone after people. However, are these the people that go after him 24/7? I can’t imagine what he has to put up with. He is not one of them, he is an outsider, not in the club. That makes him very dangerous. What did Trump mean when he said he was going to “drain the swamp?” Is there corruption in government?

If people judge Trump by his court cases, they’re not over yet. His “business fraud” case is in the process of being overturned. Do we have a weaponized judicial system? It won’t surprise me if they throw him in jail. However, it’s not over till it’s over.

What did Jesus say when he came upon a mob ready to stone a woman for her sin? “He who is without sin, cast the first stone.” No stones were thrown. We crucified him, but we know how that ended.

Many Christians like Trumps policies and abortion is an issue, the killing of God’s unborn children.

What did God mean when he said “I knew you in your mother’s womb?” I believe God created two sexes, male and female. When I stand before God someday, my faith points me towards Trumps policies and away from Kamala’s.

-Glen Pierce Spokane/Cusick

Trump is a threat

To the editor, When Trump says he is going to come after people with the National Guard or military using presidential authority, you should believe him since the Supreme Court has granted him immunity for his ‘official’ acts.

During a second Trump presidency someone you love or know could be harmed by Trump’s reckless statements and actions. Trump could order military strikes on American cities full of his “enemies from within.” We could see American streets full of rubble just like Gaza.

A White House talking head will state that political enemies of the USA were killed, and the hundreds of collateral innocent deaths and injuries were acceptable. Then the 47% of Americans that voted for Trump will cheer. They won’t cheer when they find out that a relative or friend was killed in the Trump ordered strike.

Even Trump supporters won’t be safe from Trump ordered attacks. You may be caught up with the rest of us and find yourself looking out your window seeing military vehicles and soldiers at your door.

The build-up to a Trump authoritarian dictatorship style presidency could start with putting his perceived political enemies on the “No Fly List”. Next, they are banned from government jobs, contracts and benefits. Then he censors the media by revoking broadcasting licenses.

We should realize that any of us could be put on an enemies list. Many people that worked for Trump are now on his retribution list. This reminds me of the English kings of old when loyal subjects found themselves beheaded in the Tower of London.

Today, you are a Trump supporter and tomorrow you are on an enemies list.

Some of the most die-hard Trump supporters eventually were humiliated and rejected by Trump.

Consider before you vote that he might mean and do what he is saying.

-Pete Scobby Newport

Opposed to Prop 1

To the editor,

I am writing to voice my firm opposition to Proposition 1, which is set to appear on the November ballot. Idahoans for Open Primaries are misleading the public by claiming that this measure is about open primaries. In reality, it is an effort to implement Ranked Choice Voting (RCV), and their claims are entirely misleading.

Idahoans for Open Primaries blatantly lie when they state that Prop 1 will restore Idaho’s voting traditions. First, we have never had Ranked Choice Voting in our state, and second, Proposition 1 is not about open primaries at all. Instead, it introduces a pre-election they are calling a “Top 4 Primary,” which ultimately infringes on our right to freely associate, as protected by the First Amendment.

This initiative would change the way we vote, creating confusion, undermining our established electoral process, forcing us to use centralized electronic ballot counting machines like Dominion, ultimately losing any local control over our elections, and exposing us to more fraud. By promoting RCV under the guise of reform, they are not only misleading voters but also threatening the integrity of our elections.

It is crucial that Idahoans understand what Proposition 1 truly represents. This measure does not honor our voting traditions; it attempts to impose a convoluted system that dilutes our voices and diminishes our representation.

Let’s stand against the misinformation and protect our electoral system. We deserve clear, honest elections that accurately reflect the voice of the people.

Attacks against Korn not fair

To the editor,

I am writing to express my support for Ron Korn as the candidate for Bonner County Commissioner District 3. Ron has been a volunteer and community leader for many years now. He has served as Commander and President of the Bonner County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, as well as, Scouts, Northside Fire and numerous local events. During the Trestle Creek fires, Ron took it upon himself to provide online updates as well as organize community meetings to provide valuable reports on the status of the fires. Meetings included management teams from the fire services. It shows that he obviously cares about our community.

I have been extremely disappointed to see the recent attacks on Ron’s character. Certain people have been selectively picking parts of things he has done without providing the full facts. If you spend the time to research further or talk to Ron you will find these deceptive attacks are nothing more than the dirty politics that have polluted our elections. I guess I was wrong in thinking the community around here was above the lies and petty backstabbing. Ron has not stooped to this level and has run a campaign with the same integrity and strong values in which he lives his life. It is time to elect a candidate who believes in liberty, limited government, and the protection of property rights and free speech.

Just because a liberal identifies as an independent does not make them an independent.

Why I trust Karen Matthee

To the editor,

For months now, Karen Matthee has addressed the loss of our doctors in Idaho. She will do something about it and that’s why I’m voting for her on Nov. 5th.

She brought BGH staff to my women’s group to discuss how the hospital is working to restore labor and delivery. She understands the problem is complex and requires financial support from local, state and federal sources. She also understands, as the chief medical officer stated, that the Legislature will need to create an exception to the abortion ban to protect the health and fertility of a patient so OB/GYNs feel it is safe to practice here.

Currently, our pregnant moms are driving to Coeur d’Alene for OB/GYN appointments and delivery. OB/GYNs there know that if a complication arises, a patient can be whisked across state lines for treatment in minutes. Still, doctors face each working day with anxiety and frustration, dreading emergencies because they can intervene only to prevent death – not organ loss, paralysis or loss of fertility. This goes against everything they’ve been taught.

Send Karen Matthee to Boise in November, and she will help untangle this healthcare crisis created by the GOP supermajority. Trust Karen. Trust our doctors.

Johnson prepared to

be commissioner

To the editor

I endorse Steve Johnson for Bonner County Commissioner. Steve’s lifelong ties to our county and his dedication to local values are evident in his campaign promises. He pledges to uphold conservative fiscal policy, ensure planned growth, and protect traditional Idaho values, focusing on the community’s key concerns.

Steve aims to restore respect and transparency to the Commission, countering the current climate of disregard and downright ugliness. He plans to enhance respect and productivity by fostering open communication between the county government and its citizens—vital for effective governance.

Steve is prepared to tackle important issues such as zoning, infrastructure, and public safety with prudent leadership, emphasizing community involvement and cooperation across sectors to boost our local economy and quality of life.

Amidst rapid local growth, Steve supports a strategic plan to manage this development sustainably. He intends to preserve open spaces, manage infrastructure efficiently, and maintain public land access, ensuring development benefits our community without undermining our values and environment.

Steve Johnson’s leadership qualities, deep understanding of our needs, and dedication to transparency and respect make him an excellent choice for County Commissioner. I urge my fellow residents to consider our county’s future and support Steve, a candidate truly committed to our wellbeing.

Johnson right for

Bonner County

To the editor,

I know Steve Johnson, how about you? Steve has been in this area for longer than he can probably remember. That is a plus as he has a firm handle on the concerns and needs of our community, let alone being aware of our changing demographic.

If you know Steve, you know he has the most engaging personality and about as even tempered as they come. Everyone is a friend and he is a great listener. Boy, are those great qualifications to be a Bonner County Commissioner!

I know Steve has been busy interacting with County employees to become aware of their department’s needs and concerns. What better way to improve efficiency and hopefully save money than to go directly to the source?

Remember no matter where you live in the County, you can vote for all Districts, but be sure to vote for Steve Johnson Bonner County Commissioner.

Vote Sauter for

everyone

To the editor,

I was introduced to Mark while he was helping to procure the Bon-Fire Project grant money to better prepare and protect the lives and property of our Mountain Pine Shores community.

Mark has repeatedly proved his ability to work with ours and other communities here in our district during the past legislative session. Mark has listened to the views, concerns and needs of the residents within our district as a guide when regarding new legislation that would affect us.

It is no secret that several of the far right wing extremist Republican groups here in Idaho are not pleased with Mark because he is not in lock step with their agenda. Mark is a common-sense thinking Republican, who has ignored the extremist pressure and will continue to vote for and create legislation for the betterment of all of us.

For the benefit of everyone who resides here in District 1-A, and not just a small group,

I’m voting to re-elect Mark Sauter.

Letís give credit where credit is due

To the editor,

Let’s be clear. It was the Democrats in the Idaho Statehouse, and in particular Sen. Melissa Wintrow, who deserve credit for working for more than a decade to increase the amount of contraceptive prescriptions women could purchase at a time from three months to 6 months. Senator Wintrow’s bill finally passed this year by just 1 vote in the House after the GOP majority voted NO year after year.

First of all, I find it shameful that in Idaho, a state with a near total abortion ban, that we have to work this hard to get common sense laws passed to help women avoid unplanned pregnancies. And secondly, it is unbelievable that after all of this hard work by Senator Wintrup, we see the other side step in to try to take credit.

This hard-fought win is a perfect example of why we need a more balanced Legislature - it’s why we need to send more Democrats to Boise. And it’s why I’m voting for Karen Matthee for House Seat 1 A on Nov. 5th. https://www.kmattheeforidaho.com/

Schools need Sauter

To the editor,

Education is the backbone of our community. Rep. Mark Sauter has been consistent in his support of our public schools throughout his service as our District 1 Representative. He has supported and voted for Career Technical education, the Launch program, Facilities Funding, etc.

He volunteered in the CARE program for over a decade, supporting our District students and teachers, helping with classroom activities and is a regular at meetings and fundraisers for our schools. You will find him at every football game, flipping burgers in the Chuckwagen, something he helped design, build and raise funds for.

This year the LPOSD received $15 million for their facilities needs. This is the first time in decades the District has received this type of funding. Last year the Legislature started a levy ‘buy-down’ program and sent $1.4 million to LPOSD. These programs are very hard-fought and very helpful for the LPOSD.

As a trustee, I am involved and know the players and workers who make our school systems work.  Mark Sauter is an integral part of it as he fights for us in Boise. Join me on Nov. 5th and vote to RE-ELECT Mark Sauter.

Larson will work for all

To the editor,

On any given week, my husband and I are working five or six jobs between us to support our family. We get by, and the kids are happy, but we work our fannies off and frequently feel left behind by our local economy. I want an economy and political representation that works for US—so I’m voting for Democrats like House of Representatives candidate Kathryn Larson in November.

Conversely, a far-right coworker of mine is also a parent of two and works like crazy to support her family. She’s racked up several thousands of dollars of debt since moving to Sandpoint. She’s abandoned hopes of buying a home here and feels jilted by the local economy. Yet, she’s once again voting far-right in November.

To my fellow Conservative friends, neighbors, and coworkers who feel underserved by our local economy, I humbly ask you: what if we voted for something different this November? Kathryn Larson will fight to build an economy that works for all of us. She’s a proven problem-solver, an impeccable listener, and will represent each and every one of us with integrity and respect. Let’s vote for an economy that works—vote Kathryn Larson.
