Pop-Up Museum features classical, local art

PRIEST RIVER – This Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10-2 p.m. people will get a chance to see some classic art as well as art from local artists at the Pop-Up Art Museum.

Reproductions of artwork by Van Eyck, Da Vinci, Vermeer, Rembrandt and Monet will be displayed in the one-day show. There will be more than 80 pieces of art on display, ranging from medieval brass rubbings from St. Albans Abbey, England; “Among the Sierra Nevada” by Albert Bierstadt, an 1868 work and Brass Rubbing from St. Peter’s Church, Hertfordshire, England.

In addition, young artists are invited to bring their art to the church Friday, Nov. 1, from 4-6 p.m. if they want the work to be displayed.

Admission to the show is free. There will be baked goods and homemade soup available by donation. Trinity Baptist is located at 180 Osprey Lane in Priest River.
