Happy Agers free Thanksgiving meal

PRIEST RIVER - The Happy Agers will hold a free Thanksgiving dinner for seniors 50 and older at the Priest River Senior Center Saturday, Nov. 16, from 4-6 p.m. To go meals are available by calling 208-4482352 by Thursday, Nov. 14. The Frank Chapin Senior Center is located at 336 E. Jackson Ave. in Priest River.

Annual Tree of Angels starts Friday

NEWPORT - The Annual Tree of Angels Christmas Gift drive is set to begin on Friday, Nov. 15. Members of the community are invited to help provide presents to eligible homeless students and their siblings. Tags that need to be filled will be available for individual kids on Christmas trees located at Selkirk Ace Hardware; Super1 Foods; Mountain West Bank Newport Branch; Newport’s Post Office; Owen’s Grocery, Deli & Soda Fountain and Kelly’s Bar & Grill. Tags and un-wrapped presents need to be delivered to Mountain West Bank at 330 N. Washington Avenue before Wednesday, Dec. 11.
