POLICE REPORTS

EDITOR’S NOTE: The police reports, taken from dispatch logs provided to The Miner by law enforcement agencies, are not intended to be an exact report, but rather a comprehensive list of police calls in Pend Oreille and West Bonner counties. Dispatch also fields calls for the Kalispel Tribe’s property in Airway Heights.

Certain police calls are generally omitted because of space constraints. These include, but aren’t limited to ambulance calls for illness, unfounded alarms, traffic stops, dogs at large, abandoned vehicles, 911 hang–ups and civil standbys. All dispositions for the police reports are assumed to be active, assists or transfers at press time.

MONDAY, NOV. 11

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Green Rd., complainant can see someone with a flashlight around the sheds at that property.

ANIMAL CRUELTY: S. Newport Ave., Newport, complainant doesn’t think people are taking care of the puppy they have.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: LeClerc Rd. N., Newport, report of dogs running loose in the parking lot.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: A South Ave. & Park St., Metaline, report of a white shepherd type dog running loose in the area again.

TIMBER FIRE: Sullivan Lake Rd., report of fire in the trees, can see flames.

HARASSMENT: Sunnyside Drive, Newport, complainant reports neighbor harassing them and tore their mailbox down.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: W. 1st St., Newport

ANIMAL PROBLEM: W. Fir St., Newport, report of found puppy.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Main St., Usk, report of neighbors’ dog on her porch trying to attack her dogs.

CHIMNEY FIRE: S. Scott Ave., Newport, report of possible chimney fire, house is full of smoke.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Coyote Trl., Newport, complainant reports her ex is at the house and there is an order in place, male pulled up honking horn.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Coyote Trail, Newport, reporting violation of order by phone contact.

TUESDAY, NOV. 12

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Deer Valley Rd., report of a Pitbull dog charging out of driveway at cars causing a hazard.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Tigerview Lane, Ione, report of subject who has an order against him is believed to have been at the this residence.

DRUGS: E. Blackwell St., Ione, report of found drugs on the ground inside the store.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION, NON-INJURY: Hwy. 20, Cusick, report of vehicle – deer collision.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 13

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Hope Rd., Newport, person states wife is trying to poison him by putting acetone in his mouthwash and this is the second time she has tried to do this.

ARREST: S. Garden Ave., Newport, Austin D Sandoval, 31, of Newport was arrested for violating a no contact order.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: N. Calispel Ave., Newport, report of female drinking and picking up child at the elementary school.

FOUND PROPERTY: Turner Rd., Newport, person reports finding items while out on a walk yesterday.

FRAUD: N. Central Ave., Ione, report of ongoing issues with subjects asking her for gift cards.

AGENCY ASSIST: Blackthorn Rd., Oldtown, mutual aid requests for engine and tender from FD4 and engine from SP3, for structure fire.

W. Pine St., Newport SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES:

ARRREST: Moonlight Lane, Newport, Larry D. Archibeque, 55, of Newport was arrested for fourth degree assault domestic violence.

THURSDAY, NOV. 14

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH: N.

Newport Ave., Newport, report of 2 vehicle accident, no injuries crash.

ARREST: Roberts Drive, Arly W. Barker, 48, of Newport was arrested on a warrant.

SEX OFFENSE: McInnis St., report of cold sex offense.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: N. Washington St., Newport, report that person came home and front door was unlocked.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Coyote Trail, report that respondent in order drove by protected person’s residence.

MUNCIPAL CODE VIOLATION: W. 1st St., Newport, parking violation in alley.

ARREST: Dalkena Church, Kevin M. Bowman, 32, of Cusick was arrested on a warrant.

JUVENILE PROBLEM: S. Cass Ave. & W. 2nd St., Newport, report that juvenile was caught stealing.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VERBAL: Trillium Rd., report that ex-husband showed up at residence and started to get aggressive.

POSSIBLE DUI: Hwy. 2, report of possibly intoxicated driver, swerving all over the roadway.

FRIDAY, NOV. 15

ABANDONED VEHICLE: Southshore Diamond Lake Rd., report of vehicle abandoned at stop sign.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: S. 8th Ave., report that someone has pulled fence boards off the fence they are building.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION, NON-INJURY: W. 2nd St. & S.

Union, Newport, report of two vehicle accident, no injuries.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: W. Walnut St., report that female almost ran into traffic.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION: Spring Valley Rd., report of truck on its roof, blocking roadway.

ARREST: Allen Rd., Isabelle C.

Coffey, 26, of Elk was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 4th degree.

SATURDAY, NOV. 16

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: S. Spokane Ave., Newport, report of someone who tried to break in through back door last night.
