PUD 10-year forecast meeting Nov. 25 at Cusick High

NEPWORT – The Pend Oreille PUD invites the community to the next public meeting on its 10year financial forecast and rate study, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 25, at 5:30 p.m. at Cusick High School.

“We’ve received excellent feedback from folks who attended the last two public meetings at Newport High and Selkirk High,” said John Janney, General Manager of the PUD. “It’s important for us to hear from our customers as we discuss some of the bigger challenges and opportunities we expect to encounter over the next several years and the factors driving decisions about rates, operations, and long-term sustainability.”

The 10-year Revenue Requirement Forecast highlights key challenges, including aging infrastructure, inflation, and new regulatory requirements. It also outlines over $113.9 million in capital expenditures planned between 2025 and 2034. Discussions about potential rate adjustments starting in 2025 are part of these meetings.

The PUD will continue presenting the forecast to local city councils and county officials throughout November and December. For a full schedule of presentations, visit www.popud.org/ top-links/community-and-resources/public-meetings- 10-year-financial-forecast.

If your organization would like to host a presentation, contact the PUD to make arrangements.
