Soroptimist Girl of Month named

Soroptimist girl of the month is Ashlyn Dahl. The name “Soroptimist” was coined by combining the Latin words “soror” sister and optima “best”, and can be taken to mean “best for women”.

Dahl, a senior, has been in Newport since pre-school. “I have been involved in over nine extracurriculars, clubs, and sports throughout high school,” she said. Dahl has been an involved member of the band, the soccer team, the yearbook staff, and the National Honor Society. “Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, playing with my cat, and the outdoors,” Dahl said.
