Newport girls host Riverside Thursday
NEWPORT - The Newport girls basketball team will play Riverside Thursday, Dec. 5, with the game starting at 5:45 p.m. The Grizzlies travel to Colville the next night for a game that starts at 5:45 p.m.
Priest River girls take down Kootenai twice
PRIEST RIVER – The Priest River girls basketball team started the season with a pair of solid wins against Kootenai, one away and one at home.
Monday, Nov. 18, the Spartans traveled to Kootenai, where they beat the Warriors 66-16. Thursday, Nov. 21, the Warriors came to Priest River for a similar result. The Spartans won 66-16, holding Kootenai to single digit scoring in the first three quarters and shutting them out in the fourth.
The Spartans played Genesis Prep Tuesday after the newspaper deadline. They will take on Clark Fork at home Thursday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, the Spartan girls will be at home against Lakeland for a game that starts at 5 p.m.
Newport-Priest River basketball Saturday
NEWPORT – The Newport Grizzlies and the Priest River Spartans will square off when Newport hosts rival Priest River Saturday, Dec. 7. The boys basketball game starts at 6 p.m.
The season is just starting for both teams.
The Spartans played Genesis Prep Tuesday, Dec. 3. The Grizzlies open against Riverside at home Thursday, Dec. 5, with the game starting at 7:15 p.m. Newport then goes to Colville for a game Friday that also starts at 7:15 before taking on Priest River Saturday.
Ranger girls basketball at Valley Christian
IONE – Selkirk High School girls’ basketball is scheduled to travel to Valley Christian for a game Friday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. The Lady Rangers will host Odessa Saturday, Dec. 7 at 1:30 p.m. Then it’s off to Mary Walker Tuesday, Dec. 10 for a game at 4:30 p.m.
Selkirk was slated to host Clark Fork Tuesday, Dec. 3 after the newspaper deadline.
