There was an old Hippie Who redid her floor They’d only had the laminate For seven years or more She tore up the floors Way, way back in June With plans to make it pretty All in no time soon But flooring led to painting walls, pantry, stove hood just to name a few She’d replace fridge water lines even to make it seem brand new Then summer fun got in her way So, it took a long time and many a long day She then invited family to a Thanksgiving meal She knew it was deadline Then to herself made a deal Every day she would work Sometimes morning, noon and night Till at last she could gaze on her rooms with delight The moldings gave her fits So, to the rescue Jeremy came And her fingers looked beat up but for that her hammer was to blame For the pantry and the window Chicken curtains then were sewn It only took six months How could she ever have known And now she’s as happy, as happy can be She then vowed not to take on another project But...... You all know ME!
