The Trump effect
To the editor, Trump’s not in office yet and the world is shifting towards his Presidency. World leaders have been calling Mar-a-Lago and the negotiator- in-chief has been at work. Trumps effect is felt worldwide.
He spoke with Putin about the war in Ukraine. Putin said he was willing to negotiate an end to the war. Trump threatened 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada if they didn’t work to stop illegal immigration and drugs coming into the US. The new President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, stated she would work on stopping the caravans headed towards the US. Justin Trudeau just flew to Mar-a-Lago.
Israel has voted on a cease-fire on Hezbollah to end the fighting. It will be interesting to see if Hezbollah will agree. Iran has canceled all plans to attack Israel in the wake of Trumps win. The world is paying attention.
At home, Jack Smith is unraveling his frivolous court cases against Trump. A Judge in Trumps ‘hush-money’ trial has postponed sentencing indefinitely. When you politically attack a former President in courts, they probably know what’s coming when he’s back in office. If these cases held any merit, they would have finished long ago. This only cost taxpayers 50M. When it was reported that MSNBC might be for sale, Elon responded ‘what does it cost’? That set social media on fire.
Trump has his cabinet nominations in place. They went after Matt Gaetz, his pick for AG and when Gaetz removed his name they got far worse (for them), Pam Bondi who has been an AG. You know it’s getting nasty when nine of his picks were sent bomb threats.
The world is getting ready for Trump. Those who did him wrong unjustly, are preparing for the worst. P-Diddy and Epstein client lists? The storm is incoming.

The next four years will be
‘glorious’
To the editor, Now that Trump will be president again it’s time for some MAGA sarcasm. I never liked the environmental movement restricting my actions. There is no need for regulating the environment as the end-of-days is coming and none of it will matter. In the meantime, it will be ok to burn your old tires, dump waste motor oil in the ditch, not fix your smoking truck engine, burn brush piles during summertime and overload your logging trucks. No more recycling or bans on plastics.
I don’t understand the need for healthcare or restricting our use of anything we want to abuse as it also won’t matter. Vaccines are for people who want to live longer and not needed as the rapture could happen any day. You don’t need a vaccine to get into heaven.
It will be a breath of fresh (or smokey) air as MAGA allows us the freedom to live as we please. The deep state will be eliminated and our freedoms restored. MAGA will allow us to put our finger in the eye of anything we don’t like. We can be real men again and verbally or physically beat the crap out of anyone who isn’t like us.
Women will be put back in their places. No more women’s lib or women in jobs and places where they don’t belong. LGBTQ+ will be eliminated, and those people will go back in their closets.
Pick any group you don’t like and feel free to persecute them at will. No more ‘woke’ to worry about either. No more “Happy Holidays.” Anyone not saying “Merry Christmas” should be arrested for disorderly conduct. The police will finally get to enforce the law without worrying about minority rights and people hiding behind the law. The next four years are going to be glorious.
