Things We Might See

Your eyes do not have to be open to be able to see, You can close them and imagine how you want things to be.

I suggest you don’t close them while driving your car, Or the results might turn out that you won’t get very far.

If you close your eyes, you can remember playing as a kid, Running and hollering and riding bikes is what we did.

Often dreaming about what the future would bring, Where you would end up and to what beliefs would you cling.

You can remember the day that you started your first job, How long the day seemed as you glanced at the hands on the clock.

You think of the first time you lived on your own, Did you rent and apartment or buy your first home?

Close your eyes and remember when you first saw your spouse, And as you got to know them, if the relationship would work out.

Think back or ahead of children coming into your life, Loving and teaching them and helping them to thrive.

Imagine with eyes closed how God’s dwelling place in Heaven will be, With family and friends but what else will we see?

The Holy Bible says there will be no more tears, pain, or sorrow, Time to open your eyes and look for what we will see tomorrow.
