CUSICK – The Cusick boys basketball team lost their first two games of the year Friday and Saturday, Dec.
20-21, after winning their first six games.
Friday they were at home against Northport, who got the 6957 win. Saturday, they went to Inchelium, falling to the Hornets 5644. Cusick (3-2, 6-2) is currently in third place in the league behind Inchelium (3-1, 4-2) and Northport (4-0, 5-2).
Earlier in December, the Panthers knocked off St. John-Endicott twice and beat Springdale. They started league play with a 57-47 win over Curlew, got a 66-53 win over Republic and beat Selkirk 73-45.
The Panthers don’t play again until Jan.
7, when they go to Curlew for a game. The Panthers are home against Tekoa-Rosalia, a game that starts at 7:30 p.m.
