Create classes coming up

NEWPORT – Jenni Barry will be offering a Kimekomi class Saturday, Jan.11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $36. This is the Japanese method of tucking fabric into designs. All materials are provided. Participants can bring favorite fabrics and a snack.

Olivia Giannasi will be teaching her small antler basket class on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Antlers need to be prepared on Friday, Jan. 24 from 1-3 p.m. Bring small needle nose pliers and a sack lunch. This class is $45.

Tai Chi will move to Thursdays in January from 10-11:30 am.

Coming up at Priest Lake Library

PRIEST LAKE – The fiber arts group Needle Nuts meets at the Priest Lake Library Saturday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. Any skill level is welcome to join.

There will be mod podge craft on Monday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m.

The Priest Lake Library Board of Trustees will have their monthly meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 3 p.m. in the Priest Lake Library conference room. The public is always welcome to attend.

Young Adults Book Club meets Thursday, Jan. 16 at 4:30 p.m. Youth can get together with their peers and discuss what they are reading individually.

Adult Paint Therapy is Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 10:30 a.m. Supplies are provided.

The Winter Reading Program kicks off Thursday, Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m.

Jim Howes, an oral history collector for the Bonner County Historical Museum in Sandpoint, is looking for Bonner County residents to share their family history with the museum, especially as it pertains to the area. For more information, contact Howes at 831-254-0695 or [email protected].

Taco Friday for youth

NEWPORT – Youth Emergency Services (YES) of Pend Oreille County is hosting a free Taco Friday for ages 12-24 only Friday, Jan. 24, at 3 p.m.
