The Pend Oreille County Library District has two resources that could potentially help. My Heritage, a genealogical research site with access to birth/death records, military service records, school directories and more from multiple countries. Find at www.bit.ly/pocld-heritage. A library card is required to access My Heritage. The other resource is Community History Archive with searchable copies of The Newport Miner dating back to 1897 and the full Metalines Community Collection, formerly housed in the Metaline Falls Library.
