Roary was real – but his image sat atop
The leaning torn tattered old
Farmer’s barn – wiggling – tinkling – winking
As sunrise pealed open in pearly shades of lavender
Lemon – orange – peacock blue – shadows
Dissolved the whole day through
Roary is atop the cupola of the
Protestant church Catholic church has a cross atop its steeple
Where rain and snow bellow
Yellow and green painted metal rooster twirls
As last of the stars scratch the sky
And dimpled moon passes by
Roary twirls around to the sound of bells
On the very merry-go-round
With flamed – painted wild horses
Hippopotamus and giraffes
Even small folks
Sit on classy tiger’s back
Grinning – laughing – singing
Bringing joy to the Happy New Year!
