Priest Lake Sled Dog Races Feb. 1-2

PRIEST LAKE - The Annual Priest Lake Sled Dog Races will take place Saturday and Sunday, Feb 1-2 at the USFS airstrip in Priest Lake. The races start at 9:30 a.m. each day and continue through the early afternoon.

The Inland Empire Sled Dog Association sanctions the race, says Marcy Britt, the Community Outreach spokesperson for EDSDA. Last year’s races were cancelled because of lack of snow, she says, so they are playing a bit of catch up this year.

There will be a couple of fire pits, some extra chairs and a couple of waterproof corn hole games at this year’s races. There will also be a silent auction, homemade treats available by donation and some items one of their members makes. The Inland Empire Sled Dog Association website is www.iesda.org.
