PRIEST RIVER - The West Bonner Seed Savers are meeting to package and organize donated seeds and discuss all things garden.
The group invites seed savers and those wishing to learn about saving locally adapted seeds to the meeting, which is at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the West Bonner Library District’s Priest River Library at 118 Main St. in Priest River.
Donations of any home-grown seeds or unwanted non-hybrid seeds are welcome.
The Seed Library, established in 2014 at the Priest River Library, is a free seed exchange. It supports the current trend toward self-sufficiency, focusing on heirloom and open-pollinated varieties suited to North Idaho’s short growing season, according to a press release.
