PRIEST RIVER – The Priest River Spartans boys basketball team lost 86-38 to an undefeated Bonners Ferry team Wednesday, Feb. 5. It was Bonners 36th consecutive win and their 19th of the season.

Priest River (12-4, 5-1) next travels to Kellogg Saturday, Feb. 15 for a 3 p.m. game. They then host St. Maries Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.

Shooters brave cold

NEWPORT – Twenty- seven people competed in week six of the 10-week Winter Shoot at the Newport Gun Club Sunday, Feb. 9. David Bradbury and Pam Dienhardt hit perfect 25s in the 16-yard competition and Peter Jones shot a perfect 25 in the handicap division.
