Youth Emergency Services hosts home forum

NEWPORT – The community is invited to attend an open forum Tuesday, April 22 from 5–7 p.m. to kick off the revival of the Youth Emergency Services Host Home Program in Pend Oreille County. The forum will be held at the Oldtown Rotary Park Visitor Center, 68 Old Diamond Mill Rd. in Oldtown. Everyone is invited to discover how to instill hope for the youth and young adults of Pend Oreille County ages 12–24 by providing them with a safe space, a home, to live and to just be, Youth Emergency Services announced in a news release. This will also provide them with the support they need and deserve, as well as help them prepare to navigate life. People can arrive before 5 p.m. to pick up an application and speak with staff regarding requirements for being a Host Home. Contact the YES of Pend Oreille County office to find out more information at 509-447-1125 or email info@yesteensupport. com.
