NEWPORT — The Pend Oreille Players announced on Feb. 5 the cast of its production of “The Wizard of Oz.”
In the main cast, Natalie Staab will play Dorothy, Amiah Gwyn will play the puppet Toto, Paulina Staab will play Glinda and Aunt Em, Aaron Axel will play the Cowardly Lion and Zeke, John Connelly will play the Tin Man and Hickory, Amy Encinas Yount will play the Scarecrow and Hunk, Terri Tomlinson will play the Wicked Witch of the West and Ms. Almira Gulch, Robert Balow will play The Wizard of Oz and Professor Chester Marvel and Matthew Williams will play Uncle Henry and an Emerald City Guard.
Crew members include director Amy Dawson, assistant director Emmy Meisfjord, musical directors Barb Bell and Charlene Stigall, choreographer Emily Haggins and prop manager Nikki Hendrickson.
“The Wizard of Oz” is showing from May 2 to 4 and from May 9 to 11 at the Pend Oreille Playhouse at 236 S. Union Ave. in Newport. Tickets for the production will go on sale in late March and early April.
