Mobile Market moving to new location

NEWPORT — The Second Harvest Mobile Market is moving to a new location.

It will no longer be held at the American Lutheran Church in Newport, according to a press release from the church. March 5, the Mobile Market will be at the Newport Rodeo grounds behind the grandstands and near the campground.

At its new location, the Mobile Market can be entered from Garden Avenue, across from the Social Services building. There will be “plenty” of directional signs, according to the press release.

Volunteers must park in the camping area and arrive at the Mobile Market by 9 a.m. March 5.

The Mobile Market will distribute food from 10 a.m. to noon the same day.
