Cutter Theatre hosting March, April events

METALINE FALLS — The Cutter Theatre is hosting events this and next month, some of which have been cancelled.

The Cutter Theatre will host their Sunday afternoon Bingo on March 2 in the basement Artscape Room. Sessions are at 1 and 3 p.m. with prizes at the end of each of the 11 games.

Bingo is a family-friendly event, and everyone is welcome. There is no entry fee, though cards are $5 each per session. A light “Liz Ellsworth” lunch is also available for $5, according to a Cutter Theatre press release.

The Rockabillies Space Force will perform live at 2 p.m. March 16. Tickets are $15 in advance at rockabillyspaceforce. com or $20 at the door.

For the fourth time, Kevin Hekmatpanah will perform with his cello at 7:30 p.m. March 22.

He is a music and performance instructor at Gonzaga University and a member of the Spokane Symphony. In previous Cutter Theatre appearances, he has played the cello accompanied by local musician Donivan Johnson. This time, his accompanist is pianist Yoon-Wha Roh.

The concert will include a variety of both well-known and not-so-well-known cello compositions that “bring this instrument to life,” according to the press release. Tickets are $20, and reservations are recommended.

Local musician Rennie Pelkie and friends will perform at 7 p.m. April 5.

He is well-known in North Pend Oreille County as a member of The 54 and PB&J, as a pianist with his own compositions and as a “first-rate” accompanist for vocalists, according to the press release.

Pelkie recently performed at the Cutter Jazz Night. His April 5 concert is “fast selling out,” according to the press release, and the pre-show dinner is already sold out.

Cancelled due to minimal registration are the art classes with Bram Ross from March 14 to 16.

For reservations to the Hekmatpanah and Pelkie concerts or more information about any of the events, contact the Cutter Theatre at 509-446-4108.

The Cutter Theatre is located at 302 Park St. in Metaline Falls.
