NEWPORT — My Sidewalk Café is hosting Coffee with Cops at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 20. Local law enforcement from the Newport Police Department and Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office will visit with the public and answer questions.

Relay for Life kickoff party March 19

NEWPORT — The Pend Oreille Valley Relay for Life Kickoff Party will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 19 at Parkside Church in Newport.

Relay is celebrating its 20th year fighting back against cancer here in the Newport, Oldtown and Priest River area. Join the party for food, giveaways and information about the event.

Relay For Life 2025 will be held August 8-9.

SPOFR changing monthly meeting time, day

DIAMOND LAKE — South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue is changing their monthly meeting time and day.

The Board of Commissioners of SPOFR will now hold its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the headquarters station in Diamond Lake.
