The funding Newport received from the state was for a water reservoir, not a wastewater reservoir. Also, state Rep. Hunter Abell is taking a tour of the Newport wastewater treatment plant. Both were incorrectly reported in last week’s “City council updated on state funding” story. We regret any confusion this may have caused.
