SACHEEN LAKE – The Mountain Harmony Show Choir (MHSC) and Northwoods Performing Arts present their annual youth show, this year titled “The Nifty Fifties,” a musical comedy tribute to the 1950’s. Under the direction of Nina Pletsch, “Nifty” is a highly energetic show featuring a great musical and dance decade.
“It is an understatement to say the MHSC youth are stoked to show off their impressive stage skills,” Pletsch said in a press release. “Saddle shoes, poodle skirts and a luncheonette/soda shop may be in evidence in this nostalgic review of post-war peacetime in America … a story best told by the teenagers of that special time.”
“The Nifty Fifties” performances are scheduled on April 3-5 and April 10-12. Saturday, April 12 is a matinee, and no meal is served. Dinner show tickets are $35 per person, and just $14 for show only. Senior and children’s tickets are $12. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dining service begins at 6:30 p.m., and the curtain opens at 7:30 p.m. The matinee show starts at 3 p.m.
