Rural Reflections

The Miner is seeking stories by Pend Oreille Valley residents about the Pend Oreille Valley for publication in the newspaper. They can be tales, memories, overheard morsels of conversation and/or eccentric encounters but they must be true, and they must be set in Pend Oreille or Bonner County. Submissions must be no longer than 300 words and they must be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to 421 S. Spokane St. Newport, WA. 99156 by 5:30 p.m. on Fridays for consideration in the following week’s edition. Please include your first and last name and a telephone number where you can be reached if our editor has questions regarding your submission. Anonymous stories will not be published. Your content must not be false, defamatory, misleading, hateful, or infringe on copyrighted materials.

We believe our communities have plenty of stories to tell, so we encourage you to share your Pend Oreille Valley anecdotes with us.
