IONE — An Ione man died in a traffic collision on the morning of March 12, 14 miles south of Ione.

John L. Wagoner, 73, was driving his vehicle southbound on Highway 20, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo. At milepost 399 in a curve to the left, his vehicle went off the roadway to the right, going down an embankment and striking a large tree.

Wagoner’s vehicle was totaled, and he was found dead at the scene. The cause of the collision is unknown, according to the press memo.

Final child screener for West Bonner

PRIEST RIVER - A Well Child Developmental Check Up Screener will be held on Friday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Priest River Elementary School. The screenings are free and children ages birth through 5-years-old will be screened in the following areas: Speech, language, gross motor, fine motor, readiness, hearing, vision, and other developmental areas.

These screenings are sponsored by the West Bonner County School District and The Idaho Infant/ Toddler Program.

The Priest River Elementary school is located at 231 Harriet Street in Priest River. Screener is by appointment Only. At your scheduled appointment time, only one adult will be allowed to accompany the child. To schedule an appointment, call 208-4481181 extension 3116 and ask for Blaire Gaines.
