EDITOR’S NOTE: The police reports, taken from dispatch logs provided to The Miner by law enforcement agencies, are not intended to be an exact report, but rather a comprehensive list of police calls in Pend Oreille and West Bonner counties. Dispatch also fields calls for the Kalispel Tribe’s property in Airway Heights. Certain police calls are generally omitted because of space constraints. These include, but aren’t limited to ambulance calls for illness, unfounded alarms, traffic stops, dogs at large, abandoned vehicles, 911 hang–ups and civil standbys. All dispositions for the police reports are assumed to be active, assists or transfers at press time.

PEND OREILLE COUNTY MONDAY, MARCH 24 SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:

Brylopher Lane & Lehigh Hill, Metaline Falls, report of unknown vehicle with female parked in area overnight.

FOUND PROPERTY: Veit Rd., Newport, report of opened safe found on downside side of roadway.

ARREST: N. Newport Hwy., Spokane, Nicholas Oneill Lubahn, 27, of Elk was arrested on a local warrant.

THEFT: Meadow Lane, Newport, report of personal items taken from property.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE: W.

Wisconsin Ave., Ione, report from person who believed his stolen trailer was at residence with snowmobile on it.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE: W.

Walnut St., Newport, report that subject with warrant was at selfcheck- out.

CIVIL: Mountain Trail Lane, Newport, report of squatter on uncle’s property.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Community Hall Rd., Cusick, report that respondent in order was down road.

TUESDAY, MARCH 25 ANIMAL PROBLEM: Deer Valley Rd., Newport, report of neighbor’s two dogs running loose again.

ARREST: N. Washington Ave. & W. Pine St., Newport, Jesse Ray Still,

30, of Deer Park was arrested for driving with license suspended.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Leclerc Rd. S., Usk

PROPERTY DAMAGE: Bear Rd., Newport, report that Timco truck went up private maintained county road and damaged road.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Conklin Meadows Rd., Newport, report of possibly fraudulent paperwork that notary had for person to sign.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Sullivan Lake Rd., Ione, report from person who thought people had been inside house, things moved around and holes in walls.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Sunnyside Dr., Newport, report from person who believed respondent was harassing her family on Facebook.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Fertile Valley Rd., Newport, report from person who was arguing with husband and wanted husband to leave.

CIVIL: Hwy. 20, Cusick, report that renter moved out and was trying to move in again.

TRESPASSING: Rumsey Dr., Newport, report from neighbor who called saying people were on property.

ARREST: S. Garden Ave., Newport, Tianna Mae Jordon Kimball, 33, of Spokane was arrested on a warrant.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26 NON-INJURY COLLISION: Hwy. 2 & S. Warren Ave., Newport, report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident.

NOISE COMPLAINT: Hwy. 211, report that car alarm had been going off every 15 minutes for the last two weeks.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Bobier Rd. S. & Coyote Trail, Newport, report that someone vandalized yellow warning sign with spray paint.

HARASSMENT: Spring Valley Rd., Newport, report of harassing emails received.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Willms Rd., Elk, report of suspicious email received.

AGENCY ASSIST: W. Wisconsin Ave., Ione, report of agency assist

for Adult Protective Services.

ARREST: W. 5th St. & S. Warren Ave., Newport, Arthur Joe Harp, 45, of Newport was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.

NON-INJURY COLLISION: Hwy 2., report that deer needed dispatch.

THURSDAY, MARCH 27 UTILITY PROBLEM: Scotia Rd., Newport, report that transformer blew.

CIVIL: Fertile Valley Rd., Newport, report of issue over subject driving person’s vehicle.

TRAFFIC OFFENSE: Deer Valley Rd., Newport

RUNAWAY JUVENILE: S. Warren Ave., Newport, report that juvenile son left after argument and had not returned.

ARREST: E. Blackwell St., Ione, Luke Joseph Schmidt, 40, of Ione was arrested for second-degree trespassing.

TRESPASSING: Georgetown St., Metaline Falls, report from person who believed squatters were on his property.

JUVENILE PROBLEM: W. 1st St., Newport, report of teenagers holding down juvenile girl.

CIVIL: Scotia Rd., Newport, report that neighbors were disposing of urine in ditch.

ARREST: Leclerc Rd. S., Newport, Debra Ann Roach, 64, of Newport was arrested for driving under the influence.

ARREST: S. Garden Ave., Newport, Alexander Ronald Smith, 32, of Newport was arrested on local warrants.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28 THEFT: Box Canyon Rd., Ione, report of package stolen.

ARREST: Graham Rd., Cusick, Douglas Reese Barnett, 41, of Cusick was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

AGENCY ASSIST: Willms Rd., Elk, report of agency assisting Spokane County with subject making report.

UTILITY PROBLEM: Leclerc Rd. N., report that tree fell on powerline.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Fertile Valley Rd., Newport, report of suspicious vehicle in area, subject looking at yards.

SATURDAY, MARCH 29 NON-INJURY COLLISION: Southshore Diamond Lake, report that vehicle went through fence and was left there.

CIVIL: N. Spokane Ave., Newport, report that neighbors tore off person’s fencing and put it on their property.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTAMCES: Hwy. 2, report that person believed he witnessed drug deal in parking lot.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Audrey Lane, Newport, report of unknown female seen on Ring camera sitting on porch.

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Hwy. 2, report of suspicious vehicle driving through person’s property.

CIVIL: Roberts Dr., Newport, report that neighbor was playing radio loudly, shaking house.

WEAPON OFFENSE: Western Larch Rd., Newport, report of neighbors shooting up hill toward person’s house.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: E. 6th Ave., Metaline Falls, report that person believed vehicle was being messed with.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Sandwich Creek Rd., Usk, report that person believed subject in vehicle was doing drugs.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Panhead Hill Rd., Newport, report that protected person in order attempted to contact person.

TRESPASSING: W. Kelly Dr., Newport, report that neighbor was letting subjects drive through person’s yard.

& River Rd., Newport, report of juvenile cold and wet from falling in pond, unknown where he lived.

JUVENILE PROBLEM: Bond Rd., Cusick, report that son was tackled by juvenile female.

COLLISION: Hwy. 2 & Gray Rd., Newport, report of vehicle-versus- motorcycle collision.

THREATENING: Doreen Dr., Newport, report of neighbors threatening person.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: W. Kelly Dr., Newport, report that someone had been walking around trailer park, jiggling door handles.

ARREST: Main St., Isiah Craig Fitch, 23, of Usk was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

SUNDAY, MARCH 30 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Hwy. 20 & Levitch Rd., Newport, report that worker showed up at person’s residence and told him he shot someone.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Coyote Trail & Southshore, report of numerous stop signs down in area.

VIOLATION OF ORDER: Community Hall Rd., Cusick, report that person believed respondent in order was within 1,000 feet of residence.

TRESPASSING: Cedar Creek Rd., report of that unknown subject was trespassing on property.

NON-INJURY ACCIDENT: S. Washington Ave., Newport, report of two-vehicle, non-injury accident.

TUESDAY, MARCH 25 TRAFFIC VIOLATION: Hwy. 2 & Holly Glenn Rd., Priest River, report of suspended driver

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26 NON-INJURY ACCIDENT: Hwy. 41 & Oh Mercy, Oldtown

AIRCRAFT PROBLEM: Cavanaugh Bay Rd., Coolin

THURSDAY, MARCH 27 UNLAWFUL ENTRY: Eastside Rd., Priest River, report that unknown person was inside house.

AGENCY ASSIST: 5th Ave. & Vermont St., Spirit Lake

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Kelso Lake Rd., Priest River

AGENCY ASSIST: S. Spokane Ave., Newport, report of agency assist with warrant arrest.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: Le Clerc Rd., Oldtown

ARREST: Hwy. 2, Oldtown, Diana Chevalier, 54, of Colville was arrested for her outstanding Bonner County warrant, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

FRIDAY, MARCH 28 AGENCY ASSIST: Vacation Court, Coolin

ARREST: Hwy. 2 & Tank Rd., Oldtown, John Sargent, 35, of Newport was arrested in Oldtown for driving without privileges and possession of marijuana.

TRAFFIC VIOLATION: Hwy. 2 & Tank Rd., Oldtown

CITE & RELEASE: Hwy. 2, Oldtown, Eric Walston, 24, of Centralia was cited and released for driving without privileges.

AGENCY ASSIST: Hwy. 2, Priest River

SATURDAY, MARCH 29 ARREST: Blackthorn Rd., Oldtown, Robert Johnson, 38, from Priest River was arrested for being intoxicated in a roadway.

RUNAWAY JUVENILE: Warren Ave., Priest River

HUNTING & FISHING VIOLATION: Shamar Dr., Blanchard

DEPRIVING OWNER OF VEHICLE: Charleston Lane, Spirit Lake

ANIMAL PROBLEM: 2nd St., Priest River, report of minor dog bite.

AGENCY ASSIST: Gleason-Mcabee Falls Rd., Priest River, report that deputies assisted Bonner County Emergency Medical Services in the 3000 block.

ARREST: Hwy. 41, Blanchard, Lori Rusho, 39, of Newport was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
