NEWPORT — Members of the community are invited to attend an open forum from 5 to 7 p.m. April 22 to kick off the revival of the Youth Emergency Services Host Home Program in Pend Oreille County.
This will take place at the Oldtown Rotary Park Visitor Center, 68 Old Diamond Mill Rd. in Oldtown.
“We invite everyone to discover how to instill hope for the youth and young adults of Pend Oreille County ages 12–24 by opening our own doors and providing them with a safe space, a home, to live and to just be,” a Youth Emergency Services news release announced. “This will also provide them with the support they need and deserve, as well as help them prepare to navigate life. You can arrive before 5 p.m. to pick up an application and speak with staff regarding requirements for being a Host Home.”
