I was born in the 1950s and the times they were good, Neighbors looked out for each other’s kids as they knew they should.
Men would go to their work and women could afford to stay home, Most children were raised by 2 parents and were never left home alone.
The cost of a home was affordable and so were groceries and a pound of beef, Teenagers would do their chores when asked without giving parents much grief.
Television was watched by families together, mostly for they owned just one TV, And the shows were clean and wholesome, what else could Superman be.
Families would go to church on Sundays and after have dinner together, Or sometimes go to the local park for a picnic, depending on the weather.
In the 60’s some things were changing with war protests and the hippies arriving, Government grew and handouts did too, and a new way to get votes was thriving.
Then came a game called the Super Bowl, it was the first time the game was displayed, Not popular at first, but it did catch on and now millions in the World watch it played.
