KELLOGG — Priest River got back into the winning column by beating Kellogg in both games of a doubleheader Monday, April 14.

The won the first game 2-1 and the second 5-3.

“These were two more good games of hard played baseball,” says coach Jeff Best.

Layton Goins got two hits in the first game, including a double. Jacob Best pitched, striking out nine in five innings. He was relieved by Logan Troumbley, who also got a hit.

In the second game, Broden Collins pitched the first two innings, striking out four and giving up two earned runs. Best relieved him, striking out four in the two innings he pitched. Troumbley pitched the last three innings, also striking out four.

Collins hit a double. He got two hits, including an RBI. Best got two hits, including an RBI. Colin Kuprienko also got two hits, including and RBI.
