Girl Power celebrated at Bear Paw Camp

NEWPORT – Seventh and eighth grade girls from the Newport and Cusick school districts traveled to Bear Paw Camp for the annual Girl Power Conference Friday, May 10. The girls gathered at the camp from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and spent the day learning about healthy relationships, how to deal with life’s challenges and bonding. Workshops included “Stress Busters,” “Mindfulness,” “Cards of Kindness,” and “Inner and Outer Beauty.”

Guest Speaker Cara Filler presented her “America’s Next Top Role Model” program.
