Cutter Theater announces events

METALINE FALLS - The Cutter Theatre is hosting another of its Sunday afternoon Bingo sessions on June 2. First session is at 1 p.m. and the second at 3 p.m. Cards are $5 each, and prizes will be awarded for each of the games played. Each session will have 8-11 different games. There is also a light lunch available for $5. The Bingo sessions are chaired by Lezlie Reed and Sally Noble.

The Bingo games will be held on the Main Floor in the Green Room, and all ages are welcome to play.

Held in the Artscape Room on the Lower Level, the Clutter is the on-going summer rummage sale. All sales benefit the Cutter Theatre and its programs.

The Cutter is accepting donations at this time; these must be checked in by a Cutter staff member during regular business hours – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. – or by appointment for drop-off. The Cutter Clutter goes from the first weekend of June through the Hwy 31 Yard Sale in September. Thanks go to Chair Patty Lindsey for all her hard work keeping the Clutter un-cluttered.

As items are always being added, it is a good idea to check in at the Cutter weekly to find that next treasure you were needing.

This spring saw the Volunteer Appreciation Reception and the Annual Membership Meeting, the always popular flower sale, and the An Dochas Celtic musicians, with the Haran Dancers (there were over 100 in attendance and dinner sold out quickly). Elvis was in the building again, with Ben Klein on stage in his best show yet.

Coming up is comedian Phil Kopczynski on May 31. On June 15 it’s a dinner and beer event hosted by the Savage Bearcat brewing club and a return visit by the Trailer Park Girls (two guys - very popular the last time they were here), a comedy, “Always A Bridesmaid” on June 22, and a Final Friday event – featuring the ballet students from Artscape – on June 28th.
