PRIEST RIVER – A pair of Priest River Spartan soccer players signed to play college soccer on scholarships last week.
Rebecca Sedbrook signed with Viterbo University V-Hawks in La Crosse, Wisconsin, coached by Scott Pirnstill. She was offered an NAIA Scholarship that includes some financial tuition assistance including housing and meals.
Sedbrook had 88 steals in only nine games during her senior year with the Spartans. She also finished fifth in the shot put at the 2A State Track & Field meet this year.
Marley Burgess-Duquette signed with the Wenatchee Valley College Knights in Wenatchee, Washington coached by Pablo Rodriguez-Jorge.
She was offered an NAIA Scholarship that includes some financial tuition assistance including housing and meals.
Burgess-Duquette racked up 10 goals and two assists during her senior season, scoring two goals in two separate games against Grangeville and Newport. She also received 3A All-Intermountain League honors. Burgess-Duquette was also a two-time 2A State qualifier in the pole vault as well as the small forward for the varsity basketball team.
