Williams awarded volunteer of the month

DEER VALLEY – June’s South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue Volunteer of the Month is David Williams, who has been with SPOFR for 20 years.

He is currently the volunteer Station Captain at Station 33 in Deer Valley. He is an Advanced EMT and firefighter. Williams also works at the Newport Hospital Emergency Room as an ER Technician on the night shift because he likes to take care of people. When asked what he likes best about South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue, Williams said, “I like the camaraderie at SPOFR. This is the most rewarding thing I’ve done in my career.”

“We appreciate the wealth of information and experience that David brings to our organization as volunteer Station Captain and Advanced EMT. He always has something to share at our meetings and training sessions, and we are honored to have his service,” SPOFR Chief Dan Williams said.
