Generous winner

When Kathy Burgess drew the winning $500 raffle ticket at the The Henry Bergdorf American Legion Auxiliary Unit 155 meeting June 1, she turned around and donated the money to the Auxiliary for its Honor Flight program. The Honor Flight program flies veterans from this area to the capital twice a year to honor them for their service. All expenses are paid by the program. The program sends 90 to 100 veterans each year at a cost of approximately $950 per veteran. Here Burgess is pictured receiving a check from Secretary Tammy Allison.
