EDITOR’S NOTE: The police reports, taken from dispatch logs provided to The Miner by law enforcement agencies, are not intended to be an exact report, but rather a comprehensive list of police calls in Pend Oreille and West Bonner counties. Dispatch also fields calls for the Kalispel Tribe’s property in Airway Heights. Certain police calls are generally omitted because of space constraints.
These include, but aren’t limited to ambulance calls for illness, unfounded alarms, traffic stops, dogs at large, abandoned vehicles, 911 hang–ups and civil standbys. All dispositions for the police reports are assumed to be active, assists or transfers at press time.

FRAUD: Buckeye Lane, Newport, report of receiving fraudulent email attempting to steal money.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Spring Valley Rd., Newport, report of a female throwing stuff, making threats and poked subject with her finger.

Walnut St., report of a vehicle hit his wife’s vehicle approx. 20 ago and he found the vehicle at the above location.

ERRATIC DRIVER: Hwy. 2, report that erratic driver almost rear-ended other drivers.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PHYSICAL: Stanley Drive, report that ex shoved caller then caller pushed back.
ANIMAL PROBLEM: Pine Drive, report that chicken was killed by neighbor’s dog.

ARREST: Rusho Lane, Newport, Lori Ann Rusho, 38, of Newport was arrested for fourth degree assault domestic violence.
TRESPASSING: Nicholson Rd., report that neighbor is using callers driveway to get to their home.
VEHICLE PROWL: Spokane Ave., Newport, report that granddaughter bought car from caller and old plates were stolen.

ANIMAL PROBLEM: Devils Dr., report of neighbor’s dog tried to attack caller’s dog.

ARREST: Mcdonald Creek Rd., Blanchard , Tevin Perry, a 28 year old male from Blanchard, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
ARREST: McDonald Creek Rd., Blanchard, Shantell Rodriguez, 19, of Newport, Washington was arrested on two felony warrants.
