Selkirk High School celebrates their graduates

IONE - The Selkirk School District graduated 11 seniors on June 8. Principal Amanda Burnett accompanied by Superintendent Nancy Lotze presided over the ceremony which was held in the Sam Nicholas Gymnasium. Eighthgrade student Deleasia O’Donnell gave an inspirational rendition of the National Anthem for the senior class and the attendees.

The Selkirk Class of 2024 Valedictorian is Raelynn Sullivan of Ione. Raelynn has a cumulative GPA of 4.0 and is the daughter of Brandi Newman and Waylon Sullivan. The 2024 Salutatorian is Chloe Nelson, the daughter of Daryl Nelson. Chloe has a cumulative GPA of 3.46. Kiana Davis with the help of Rachel Wold prepared an outstanding video which highlighted each graduate.

The 2024 graduates invited Roxanne Robertson, a current bus driver for the school district, to speak to them on their graduation day. In her message she shared stories of the humor and kindness of the class of 2024.
