Floch named to University of Alabama’s Dean’s List
TUSCALOOSA - Elizabeth Floch of Blanchard was named to The University of Alabama (UA) Dean’s List for spring semester 2024.
To be named to the Dean’s List, a grade point average of 3.5 or above is needed.
Independence Day event to be held in Usk
USK – The Usk Community Club’s annual 4th of July event starts with a pancake breakfast July 4 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice & coffee will be served. The charge is $7 a plate with kids 5 and under free.
The club pairs that with their basket raffle and grand prize drawings. Raffle tickets cost $1 each or six for $5. Drawings start at 11:15 a.m. and ticket holders do not need to be present to win except for perishable items. There will be a free children’s fishing game with prizes. People who bring lawn chairs while waiting on drawing results will get a sneak peek of the parade entries as they stage at the hall before heading down River Road to Cusick at noon.
