Low-income families may be eligible for state subsidies for childcare if they fall under certain income guidelines. In Washington, for a family of four, the monthly household income must be $6,020 or less. Currently, there are 79 Pend Oreille County children enrolled in Working Connections, Washington’s program. To apply, enroll online at www.washingtonconnection.org/home or call Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families at 844-626-8687.

In Idaho, to qualify for the Idaho Child Care Program, which provides child care money, the monthly maximum amount of income a family of four can have is $4,375. To apply, call the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare at 877-456-1233.
