Low-income families may be eligible for state subsidies for childcare if they fall under certain income guidelines. In Washington, for a family of four, the monthly household income must be $6,020 or less. Currently, there are 79 Pend Oreille County children enrolled in Working Connections, Washington’s program. In Idaho, to qualify for the Idaho Child Care Program, which provides child care money, the monthly maximum amount of income a family of four can have is $4,375. To apply, call the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare at 877-456-1233.
