1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Bridget Leija, 3, is the newest finisher of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program with the Pend Oreille County Library District. She is the third finisher from the Ione Library and 10th finisher in the county. The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is open to any child age birth to 5 that has not yet entered Kindergarten. Children and their parents can pick up a welcome bag at any Pend Oreille County Library and will earn prizes for every 100 books read.
