Haying season underway

The haying season has started. Hay is probably the biggest agriculture crop grown in Pend Oreille County. Kelly Driver snapped this picture with a cell phone on the way to work at the Port Monday, July 8. According to Greg Sanders, market news reporter for the USDA, the hay crop looks good in Washington but unfortunately for growers, the export market is down.
