Pend Oreille County burning controls in effect

NEWPORT – The Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced a ban on campfires, outdoor burning, the use of charcoal briquettes, and prescribed burns as of Wednesday, July 10, on all lands protected from wildfire by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in Pend Oreille County.

Therefore, in effective Wednesday, July 10th, the following Burning Controls are in effect in Pend Oreille County: 1.) All burning is banned 2.) Campfires and other recreational fires are prohibited 3.) Gas and propane cook stoves are allowed Daily updates on burn restrictions are available at 1-800323-BURN.
