Lane closures with flagging coming to SR 20 east of Colville

TIGER – Drivers who use both directions of State Route 20 roughly 25 miles east of Colville should plan additional travel time as contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation repave the roadway between milepost 379 and milepost 390, from South Fork Mill Creek Road to Tiger in Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties.

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, drivers can expect a reduced speed limit approaching the work zone and single-lane closures. Crews will close one lane at a time to grind out old asphalt, then inlay new pavement to crate a smoother ride and preserve the roadway for years to come.

Travelers can expect one-way alternating traffic with flaggers at times and delays of up to 20 minutes. This project is anticipated to last through September. Please remember to slow down in work zones and watch for road crews.
