Elizabeth Mary (Cameron) Watson passed away March 11, 2025, in Spokane Valley, Washington. Born in Vancouver, BC, Canada on Aug. 3,1922, to James &

Florence Cameron.

The family moved to Seattle 1923. She was the youngest of four kids. She attended Seattle Business School in the early 1940’s. She married John A. Watson Jr. in 1952. (Divorced 1977) She moved to San Jose, California, in 1958, and worked at IBM. She then moved to Blanchard, Idaho, in 1966 to the Watson Farm. She worked as typesetter for The Newport Miner newspaper for 35 years. She was the Newport Avon lady from the early 80’s until 2018. She was a single mom raising three teenage boys.

She moved to Spokane Valley 2018.

She loved her church and her family. She sang and played piano. She loved her music.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers Alex and Ron Cameron, sister Eleanor Ptolemy, and her grandson Tyler Vance Watson.

She is survived by her three sons John A. Watson III (Billiejo), Jim Watson & Joel Watson; four grandkids, Bettina (Watson) Meenach, Cameron Watson, Jazmine (Watson) Vosika, Cory Watson; and eight great-grand kids, Tyler ( Vance) Watson Jr, Jayden Watson, Jackson Meenach, Sebastian Devoe, Lily Watson, Tatum Meenach, Louetta Jo Vosika.

Services will be held Friday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 517 Second St., Newport, WA 99156. Viewing is from noon to 1 p.m.
