Naomi Ruth , 62, of Metaline Falls peacefully passed away at home, May 20, 2024.

She was born Nov. 15, 1962, in Palo Alto, California, to Naomi Bowman and Milton VanNoland.

She married Mark Aug. 6, 1987, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Naomi’s childhood may be shrouded in a gentle mist of forgotten memories, but her spirit shone brightly from an early age. She easily passed the GED at the age of 16 in San Mateo, and embarked on a vibrant and fulfilling life’s journey.

Throughout her life, Naomi pursued her passions with unwavering dedication. She found solace and rejuvenation in the embrace of nature, often embarking on hikes and foraging for hidden treasures that nature offered. Her extraordinary culinary skills were a testament to her creativity and love for creating delicious meals, whether it was mastering the art of puffed pastries or preparing exquisite Thanksgiving dinners for her cherished family.

Naomi’s interest in the legal system sparked an intellectual curiosity that she nurtured throughout her life. She had a deep appreciation for movies, particularly “My Cousin

SEE OBITUARIES, 8B Vinny,” which reflected her inquisitive nature and sense of humor.

Naomi’s legacy lives on through her beloved husband, Mark , her loving son Mark Ivan Jacobson Jr. (Jessica), her adoring daughter Molly Johns (Miguel), and her surviving grandchildren Ethan Jacobson, Allison Alvarez, Treyton Jacobson, Sean Jacobson, and Vincent Johns. Their hearts ache for the void left by her passing, but they find comfort in the countless cherished memories they share, knowing that her spirit will forever be with them.

Services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Fairmont Memorial Park in Spokane, Washington.
