Tommy Lee Luthy II

Tommy Lee Luthy II

Luthy

NEWPORT

Tommy Lee II was born in Yuba City, California, on Oct. 1, 1988; he was supposed to have been born in September, but his dad was going to name him “Maynard” unless he was born in October, so Tommy just chilled until the first of the month. His early years were spent in northern California, Arkansas and Oklahoma, where it was found he had a penchant for being accident-prone, running headlong into life with abandon. His family moved to the Newport area in 1995, and Tommy attended all 12 years of school in the Newport School District, graduating from Newport High School in 2007. Following high school, Tommy underwent training to become a welder so he could join his father in the family body shop in Oldtown, Tom & Sons Auto Body, and, later, Tommy Lee’s Customs.

Tommy loved working on cars with his family and friends, spending countless hours and every spare dollar building hot rods and tuners for fun and profit with his dad and his brothers. Tommy loved video games, 3D printing technology, cars, burnouts, drag racing, and gasoline in his veins, so make sure to fry some rubber in remembrance of him.

Tommy passed away on May 16, 2024, and is survived by his father, Tommy Lee ; his mother, Delora Hale; his brother and sister, Michael Lindley and AnnaLee Phillips; his half-sister, Shelby ; his step-sister, Caitlin Mason; and his best friend and stepbrother, Hunter Mason; as well as numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and hundreds of friends.

A casual memorial service was held May 25, 2024, at Newport City Park at 3 p.m. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, if you are feeling despair, please reach out to someone and talk, no matter what it is; you are loved more than you know.

Sherman-Campbell Funeral Home in Newport Washington, is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends are welcome to visit their website at www.shermancampbell. com.
