Allan “Duff” Kirby, 69, Streeter, North Dakota, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at his home.

Allan was born Aug. 28, 1955, in Spokane, Washington, the son of A. Roy and Millie (Rader) Kirby. He was raised in the Tiger, Washington area attending lone elementary school and graduating from Selkirk High School in 1974.

He joined the U.S. Navy in 1974 at San Diago, California, serving aboard a naval destroyer as a Machinest Mate 2nd Class- MM2- with a rank of E5. He was honorably discharged at Portland, Oregon, in 1977. Following the Navy, Duff began his career as a truck driver, working as an owner/operator from 1977 until his retirement in 2016. He moved to Streeter in March of 2024.

Duff is survived by his mother; six brothers, Chet (Tina), Doug, Terry (Lee), Mike, Steve (Marie), and Matt; one sister, Cindy; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Denny.
